James Mueller

James has been working with Dr. Zikherman since 2012 as a lab manager/staff research associate. While keeping the lab running smoothly and helping students with their projects he also works on various projects including CRISPR/Cas9 mutation of Nr4a family members in Jurkat cells and studies of the Nur77 KO mouse.

He earned his B.S. in General Biology from UCSD in 2000 where he then went on to work with Dr. Hal Hoffman for over twelve years studying rare genetic disorders. The Hoffman lab shared space with Dr. Richard Kolodner where James also studied mismatch repair genes. In his spare time James can be found surfing up and down the coast or hiking and climbing in the local mountains.

Feel free to contact James regarding mouse transfers, lab protocols, or any other inquiries you may have.
